Watch This Moving Carrie Fisher Tribute From the Star Wars Celebration

Get out your tissues. As the Star Wars celebration officially kicked off in Orlando, Lucasfilm finished the 40 Years of Star Wars panel with this lovely tribute to the late, great Carrie Fisher.

We’ve written recently about Fisher’s continued presence in the final two installments of the new trilogy, as filmmakers Rian Johnson, Colin Trevorrow, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Disney CEO Bob Iger have all weighed how to handle the icon’s passing in narrative terms. What’s so nice to see here is a proper look back at Fisher’s already massive impact on the Star Wars universe, with appearances from various cast and crew members from both the original trilogy and the new films. It’s hard to fathom just what an impact Fisher has had, but this tribute goes a long way by having peers describe just how much Fisher’s Leia Organa meant to them.

As if the event could have been any more moving, it ended with composer John Williams making an appearance to close out the tribute by playing Princess Leia's theme for the fans gathered in the room.
