The Ten Most Paused Star Wars Moments of All Time
With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story coming out tonight at midnight (the review embargo has been lifted, so if you want to find out what the critics think, you can), it's a good bet there will be many sequences and moments in the film you'll wish you could pause. Heck, there have already been many sequences in the film's teasers and trailers we have paused. Star Wars films pack every frame with so much visual data that you could arguably freeze the action at any given moment and find a bunch of cool things you'd otherwise miss. With hundreds of artists, from production and set designers to prop masters, VFX geniuses and the folks at the creature shop all pouring themselves into the creation of the Star Wars world, you can be sure there's a ton of stuff you've been missing.
With this thought in mind, the team at Screen Rant have looked at all seven Star Wars films and come up with their list of the ten most paused scenes in the franchise's history. Now, this isn't a scientific list, and seems more like it should be the ten most "pause-able" scenes, but we like the concept regardless. They hone in on some of the franchise's best easter eggs, including cameos from crucial Star Wars collaborators and creatures from other, hugely popular films (E.T. anyone?) It's a great way to rejoice in the ever expanding Star Wars galaxy, just hours before the first ever non-saga Star Wars film premieres.
