15 Years Later, They’re Younger? Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp

The premise is, in our mind, perfect: the Wet Hot American Summer gang is back, 15-years after David Wain and Michael Showalter’s original classic, only they’re playing slightly younger versions of themselves in First Day of Camp.

We’re supposedly playing 16-year olds,” says Elizabeth Banks.

“Everyone looks like they’re playing their own parents,” says Amy Poehler.

"We're all really too young to understand any of these things," says Paul Rudd.

The entire original cast is back— Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter. This behind-the-scenes featurette shows the cast and crew having fun on the set of Camp Firewood, where all the magic began way back in 2001.

They’re joined by new characters, played by Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery, Jordan Peele and more. If you were a fan of the cult classic original, you cannot miss this.

Camp starts on Netflix, this Friday, July 31.
